    Fantasy Football

    Thursday, August 14, 2008, 09:39 AM [General]

I wonder if anyone is playing fantasy football this year.

Wait, I think like 50million people play fantasy football in some capacity.

So, that probably answers my question, but anyone around here playing the game.

What is your strategy if you have a pick at the beginning, middle, or end of the first round.

I figure that I go running back if i get a high first round or middle round pick.

Then, I'll go for a stud QB, and get another second or third tier running back or first tier receiver.

    Basically, go for best available.

But if I get a late first round pick, I might have to go for best possible RB, Receiver, or QB.

I still don't know.  But I am betting on getting Frank Gore, Peyton Manning, Marion Barber, Torry Holt, Anquan Boldin, Robbie Gould, Panthers Defense, Dallas Clark, along with some good backups.

Why is it that I am the only person awake at 3:00am in the morning. Right now, 97% of the United States is sleeping. I believe that I may have a sleeping disorder of some sort. It could be that I have sleep apnea. That doesn't sound so bad though. Compared to diseases such as cirrhosis or alzheimer's , sleep deprivation is not that bad. Cancer and Aids are pretty terrible. But you know, diseases don't scare me as much as the actual society we live in sometimes. We are numb to such stories as murder, rape, kidnapping, and robbery. This is terrible. We have many underlying social issues that need to be addressed more than they are. We can only put so many criminals in jail. So, why don't we let the criminals with minor offenses and good behavior get out much sooner, rather than dragging down the security of a city. By this, I mean someone that is caught with a small bag of marijuana can theoretically serve the same amount of time as someone that is convicted of robbing and stabbing another person. Now, I don't condone drug use, and I do not use drugs, but tell me who is more of a threat. Just some deep thoughts that I would share if anyone else would like to weight in.
